Investit plans to hold a forum on MiFID, a response to the management consultantancy’s conviction that the EU directive’s effects on investment institutions have largely been overlooked.

“With the deadline fast approaching, there is increasing pressure for investment management companies to take responsibility for MiFID compliance,” said Clare Vincent-Silk, an Investit consultant. The deadline for MiFID compliance is set for April of 2007.

The forum will be on November 3 at Founder’s Hall in London from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Speakers will include representatives from MiFID, the Financial Services Authority, the Investment Management Association and Bear Stearns.
