Charles River Development says Nextra Investment Management SGR has chosen its compliance application to monitor its assets globally. Nextra Investment Management SGR (Nextra) is the asset management company of the Intesa Group in Italy, which has more than U.S. $115 billion in assets under management.
Charles River Compliance, a module of the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS), will provide Nextra the ability to perform global, real-time pre-trade, post-execution, and end-of-day compliance monitoring.
Charles River says Nextra chose its application after a detailed search because it was the only application that fulfilled the Milan-based firm’s technological, functional, and implementation needs. Charles River demonstrated its commitment to the Italian market with knowledge of the compliance requirements and experienced Italian-speaking implementation and support staff. In addition, says Charles River, its open architecture allows for rapid integration and a shortened implementation.
Charles River Compliance aims to offer pre-trade, post-execution, and end-of-day compliance monitoring for all security types and to help fund managers and custodians ensure consistent adherence to client, fund, regulatory, and complex-wide guidelines. The system supplies regulatory and general example standard rule libraries, a rule building wizard, pre-trade “what if” capabilities, and provides notification of compliance events.
Charles River claims the system is currently monitoring over $12 trillion in assets. It is available as a standalone application, or as part of the Charles River Investment Management System, which also includes Charles River Manager for portfolio management and modeling, and Charles River Trader for order management and electronic trading.
