Interactive Data Corporation, a provider of financial market data, analytics and related applications, has received two industry awards for ‘Best Corporate Actions and Reference Data Provider’ and ‘Best Data Feed Provider’ at the Systems in the City Awards 2009, held on 22 April.
Interactive Data won in the category of ‘Best Corporate Actions and Reference Data Provider’, recognising its wealth of experience in gathering, updating, validating and delivering in-depth global reference and corporate actions data to financial institutions around the world.
In addition, Interactive Data was named as ‘Best Data Feed Provider’ for PlusFeedSM, its low-latency digital data feed that delivers a broad range of global financial information from over 450 sources and exchanges worldwide, covering more than six million instruments.
“We are honoured that our corporate actions and reference data, as well as our low-latency data feed have been recognised by the Systems in the City Awards as best in category. We also received the ‘Best Corporate Actions Data Provider’ award at the Inside Market Data/Inside Reference Data Awards in 2008,” says Brendan Beith, European sales director at Interactive Data. “Interactive Data has built its reputation as a trusted leader in financial information. At this time of increased market volatility, we aim to work with our customers to help address their needs for financial data and services across their businesses.”
The Systems in the City Awards are organised annually by Goodacre UK, a provider of specialist support services for the securities and financial markets. The awards aim to highlight the excellence of system suppliers within the financial services industry in the UK. Nominations for the awards were made by participants in the stockbroking, fund management and investment banking sector. The winners of each award were announced at an awards ceremony held on 22 April in London.
