ING Wholesale Banking (ING) has hired two senior bankers in Singapore and Korea.
In Singapore, ING has appointed Choon Seng Tan as head of Corporate Clients, Singapore, reporting to Malcolm Brown, head of Corporate Clients, Asia. Tan will be responsible for all ING’s client coverage of key local corporate and global clients in Singapore and will seek to develop ING’s product capabilities in the Singapore market. Tan joins ING from DBS where he was Deputy Head of its 23-strong Energy, Chemicals and Healthcare team in Singapore, providing senior client coverage with a particular focus on Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance. During his ten years at the bank, Tan also spent over three years with DBS in Manila.
In Korea, ING has appointed Jeong Mee Shin as Wholesale Relationship Manager, Korea reporting to Erik Versavel, Country Manager and Head of Corporate Clients, Korea. Shin will be involved in deepening ING’s corporate, institutional and government relationships in Korea. She joins ING from Bank One NA, where she was a Relationship Manager for the Corporate Finance Division. Prior to Bank One, she worked as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney and brings to the role over 13 years of experience in financial services in Korea.
Brown stated: “These appointments serve to strengthen ING’s ability to cross sell a range of high-value added products to our priority client base of regional blue chip and global corporates. ING will continue to build up its relationship management expertise with senior bankers across the region aiming to support our clients’ various financing and advisory needs with our broad product range and expertise in the 12 markets in which we operate.”
