ING Bank Slaski has published financial results for four quarters of 2006, which show that it had been the best year so far in the history of the bank.
In that period they earned gross profit of PLN 753 million and net profit of PLN 591 million. Results were 6.7 percent and 7.6 percent higher year-to-year, respectively. ROE was maintained at the high level of 18.6 percent.
“ING Bank Slaski remains one of the fastest growing banks in Poland,” says a spokesperson for ING. “Last year, our balance sheet total rose to PLN48,488 million (15%). This was a fast, but steady and sound growth, which should be continued in 2007.”
