Infotec, the Geneva-based financail information supplier, has signed a three-year contract to use Radianz’s network and hosting services. Infotec will use Radianz’s services for business continuity and to connect more financial institutions worldwide to its financial services. Those services will be housed in Radianz’s Geneva hosting facility – the second of two hosting centres Radianz has. The other is in the New York area. Infotec headquarters are in Geneva.
“We selected Radianz because we can immediately leverage its existing networking and financial expertise instead of waiting for a carrier to install and customize the same services for financial use,” says Robert Jeanbart, CEO of Infotec. “The approach is far more efficient because Radianz’s infrastructure already is connected to the exchanges and bourses that provide the information used in the electronic applications we deliver, and to the institutions worldwide that use those applications.”
Radianz will supply the networking using existing infrastructure in its extranet, RadianzNet, which is connected to more than 9,000 financial institutions worldwide, including many of Infotec’s current and potential customers. “We are delighted to support Infotec’s business growth by providing them with quick access to the institutions that are connected to RadianzNet,” says Chris Church, executive vice president and head of Global Sales and Marketing for Radianz. “By using our existing infrastructure, Infotec will be able to deploy its solution quicker and reach business partners using a single network platform instead of multiple point-to-point network connections.”
Infotec specializes in supplying banks, broker-dealers and fund managers with financial information. Founded in 1982, Infotec has operations in Geneva, Zurich, London, Paris and Frankfurt.
