Managing Director / Head of Kuwaiti Securities Services

Our client, a major Middle Eastern Bank, is seeking a Managing Director / Head for their Kuwaiti Securities Services business to have overall responsibility for establishing and managing the business in Kuwait, incorporating the CMA licensed Custody & Clearing activities with the KCC and Kuwait Bourse.  

Their main areas of focus will be to develop a strong partnership with the local securities depositary, exchange and regulators to maintain a deep understanding of the local post trade environment and lobby for best market practice. Secondly, they will engage prospects in coordination with the Client Management Team in the UAE to grow the local Kuwait business and finally serve as a senior local relationship contact for existing clients in coordination with the Client management team.

The ideal candidate will have 10/15 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 7 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the senior function. They will be an agent for change, know Securities Services intimately and be very solid in the areas of Legal, Compliance and Management and also have a commercial mindset.
