Citibank says the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has cut the registration fee for qualified foreign institutional investors (FIIs) US$10,000 to US$5,000, with immediate effect. The banks adds that it has also reduced the timetable for approving properly documented registration applications from four weeks to fourteen days. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman made these pledges at a Citibank-sponsored round table discussion.
