EFG Eurobank said it hired Andreas Sotiropoulos to its team of Securities Services, in an effort to further enhance its effort to become the local custodian of choice in Greece.

Sotiropoulos has worked in the Securities Services industry in Greece for over 14 years and he brings to the bank his vast knowledge of custody in Greece, a spokesmn for EFG Eurobank said. He began his career at Citibank’s Global Transactions Services where he served as RVP, Product & Sales Manager. He then joined HypoVereinsbank where he continued to work with both Greek and Foreign Institutional Clients active in the Greek market.

“His extensive knowledge adds to the list of competitive advantages we have over the competition,” said Andrew Economides, Head of Securities Services at EFG Eurobank. “We intend to exploit this experience to the fullest extent for our clients’ benefit.”

Sotiropoulos’ knowledge and experience will be applied on various aspects of the business, such as product and business development and client management, the bank said.
