IHS Markit has hired securities finance veteran Rob Nunn as a product manager for services and solutions for beneficial owners.

Nunn joins the EMEA securities finance team following 10 years at JP Morgan where he was most recently head of agency lending sales, EMEA.

Prior to JP Morgan he worked briefly as manager of collateral management and risk at HSBC.

Nunn spent 13 years at UBS Global Asset Management, rising to the role of head of securities lending before departing to join HSBC.

The announcement comes weeks after IHS Markit announced it had gone live with new functionalities to its securities finance platform, including a new tool for securities lenders to compare their performance with rivals.

“I am delighted to welcome Rob to our team at IHS Markit,” said Paul Wilson, managing director and global head of Securities Finance at IHS Markit. “He brings extensive industry expertise and will be a great asset as we continue to expand our suite of services this year. Rob has a strong understanding of the challenges that beneficial owners face and will help ensure that our services meet their needs.”
