IFEX Innovation Finance & Equity Exchange NV has hired John Gunn to the board of IFEX Ltd (UK).
Gunn will take up his post following the acquisition of his company GIS UK Ltd, which has applied for UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) membership. IFEX NV agreed to issue 4 million new shares as consideration to acquire GIS, subject to various performance clauses on the side of John Gunn and GIS.
Gunn has more than 17 years experience within the stockbroking and financial services industry, during which time he has worked with Hoare Govett, Carr Sheppards, Generali and Williams De Broe. Mr Gunn has an extensive knowledge of and successful track record in the private equity and IPO markets.
Niels Reijers (CEO) said, “John’s appointment to the board of IFEX Ltd (UK) and the acquisition of GIS will give us a much needed presence in London. John’s considerable experience of both the UK and US markets will enable IFEX to source future investment opportunities in these markets as well as assisting considerably with the disposal, through IPO’s, of a number of investments we have made to date. The expected increased cash flows will enable us to accelerate our investment program.”
