ICIS, the market pricing and intelligence service for the oil and chemicals industry, has signed a contract with Reuters to provide real-time polymers news and pricing content to support interest in the London Metal Exchange’s polymer futures contracts.
“ICIS is delighted to provide such critical timely news and prices for people who are interested in or trading the LME polymer contracts,” said ICIS-LOR and ICIS news publisher Christopher Flook.
The 24-hour news feed is provided by the ICIS team including news reporters and pricing editors worldwide with market experience covering polymers and olefins stretching back 20 years.
ICIS will provide real-time news as well as weekly benchmark price assessments and its historical data. The ICIS content can be accessed by typing “ICPL” on a Reuters terminal.
The LME launched two polymer futures contracts in May 2005 to offer plastics producers, converters and users a new means to hedge their risk.
