ICAP has been voted interdealer broker of the year, in Risk magazine’s annual Interdealer rankings, published this month. The survey of over 1,000 market participants covered 120 derivative products in the interest rate, foreign exchange, credit and equity markets.
ICAP was the placed in first position in more products than any other broker, and scored particularly well in interest rates, winning 60% of the categories. ICAP’s joint venture in the currency options market, TFS-ICAP, was successful in a further 7 products.
“ICAP has reclaimed its position as top broker in this year’s poll, with a comprehensive victory in the interest rate categories. After the consolidation of the past few years, attention is now turning to how best to leverage electronic trading capabilities,” says staff writer Joe Morgan, in an article for Risk Magazine.
