Kim Rosenkilde is joining ICAP, the interdealer broker, on 23 September and will take up the role of Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific from 1 January 2009, based in Singapore. He will report to ICAP Group CEO Michael Spencer and be responsible for all voice broking and support management in the region.

Rosenkilde will take over from George Macdonald, who has decided to retire from ICAP at the end of 2008 after 13 years of service, including eight as CEO of ICAP London, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Prior to joining ICAP, Kim Rosenkilde held a number of positions at ABN Amro, most recently as CEO and Country Executive Japan and Head of Global Markets, North America. Kim has 23 years of experience in fixed income and currency trading and risk management.

“Kim brings extensive industry experience and good relationships with both customers and regulators to this role,” says Michael Spencer, ICAP group CEO. “I am delighted to welcome him to ICAP. The growing wholesale financial markets in Asia continue to provide a significant opportunity for ICAP and Kim brings a broad knowledge of the Asian markets to help us make the most of that opportunity.”

Born in Denmark, Kim Rosenkilde was educated in Copenhagen, and at London Business School and Harvard Business School.
