The UK’s HSBC Securities Services earned first place for the second year in a row in R&M’s annual fund accounting and administration client survey, with State Street following and The Bank of New York in the third spot.
HSBC achieved the top spot in five of the six service categories that clients were asked to rate providers, and finished no lower than second in any category. The annual survey ranked providers on the following key services: core accounting and administration; accounting and valuation; communication; approach and flexibility; value for money and quality of personnel.
“HSBC received the highest number of client responses in the survey, which adds depth to our clients’ feedback,” said Ian Stephenson, head of fund administration and trustee services. “The survey results
show that clients see HSBC as totally committed to providing a fully rounded service.”
