HSBC taps Deutsche Bank for corporate trust business head

Karen Lomax will join HSBC’s corporate trust and loan agency business as European head of business development.

HSBC’s corporate trust and loan agency (CTLA) division has appointed Karen Lomax as European head of business development.

Lomax joins HSBC after being with Deutsche Bank for 15 years where she was most recently head of issuer services sales for EMEA.

She will be responsible for expanding the business at HSBC across the region and will start the role in June this year.

Lomax will be based in London and will report to Chris Knowles who is currently head of CTLA for Europe.

As head of EMEA sales for issuer services at Deutsche Bank, she was responsible for all new business across corporate services and corporate trust products.

Prior to this, Lomax served as a director for Deutsche Bank’s trust and agency services focused on developing new business.

She has also worked at JP Morgan Chase for two years as a vice president for sales.
