HSBC Securities Services has strengthened its broker dealer outsourcing team with two key hires, those of Clive Triance as head of Broker-Dealer Middle Office Insourcing and Lloyd Ushe as director, Broker-Dealer Middle Office Infrastructure. The broker dealer outsourcing team is a key part of HSBCs Sub-Custody and Clearing business.
The hires mark an extension of HSBC’s teams in this market as financial institutions clients move to an outsource model. HSBC currently offers broker outsourcing services in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Thailand and is extending to other markets as regulations permit.
Triance joins HSBC from Penson Europe where he was CEO. Penson provided execution, clearing, middle office outsourcing and settlement services to regional institutional and retail financial services firms. He previously held executive positions at Instinet Europe, Citi and Cantor Fitzgerald. Triance will be based in London.
Ushe was chief technology officer at Penson Europe prior to joining HSBC. He led the team that implemented the core operating platforms in Europe and regularly assisted in client presentations and sales. Previously Ushe worked for Societe Generale as a consultant. He will be based in Hong Kong.
