HSBC marked the opening of its Olympian City Branch in West Kowloon. The new branch is one of the Banks 10 branch expansion projects scheduled this year.

“HSBC continuously enhances its service channels, with branch service being a key focus,” says Louisa Cheang, head of personal financial services for Hong Kong. “We have committed to opening bigger branches and offering a wider range of banking services to our customers this year. This Olympian City branch will provide a more comfortable environment at a convenient location to meet customers wealth management needs.”

Located at Shop UG8B, Olympian City 2, 18 Hoi Ting Road, the branch covers a floor area of over 5,000 sq. ft, with 12 service counters, eight wealth management work stations and four meeting rooms. The branch provides general banking services and is also equipped with Express Banking, which features five selfservice banking terminals that provides passbook updating, cash and cheque deposit and ATM services.

HSBC has committed HK$300 million for its network expansion plan across the HKSAR in 2008. The plan includes opening new branches and expanding existing ones. In addition, the Bank has also announced plans to expand its automated channels in the territory, with a capital investment of HK$160 million and a total operating budget of over HK$1.1 billion for the next three years.
