HSBC boosts Luxembourg sales team with new hire

Riccardo Millich joins HSBC to lead its local sales strategy and supporting business growth with all countries and asset classes in scope of UCITS and AIFMD.

HSBC has created a new sales director role for its Luxembourg securities services business, as it looks to expand its sales capabilities in the country. 

Riccardo Millich joins as HSBC Securities Services (HSS) in Luxembourg in the newly created role, where he will be responsible for itslocal sales strategy and supporting business growth with all countries and asset classes in scope of UCITS and AIFMD.

Reporting to Nick Maton, head of securities services, HSBC in Luxembourg, he will work alongside Paul Heffernan, head of cross-border sales, HSS Europe
 to leverage its cross-border businesses and help support its multi-jurisdiction services.

“We have clear growth ambitions for HSS in Europe and the recruitment of Riccardo as sales director will help connect HSBC’s clients to our global product offering,” said Maton. 

Millich joins HSBC with over 10 years’ experience advising asset managers and asset owners globally in setting up investment funds in Luxembourg. He has also held directorship positions in Luxembourg UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds.
