The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited announced the appointment of Wout Kalis to head the Singapore operations for its Alternative Fund Services (AFS) business, the group’s core provider of fund administration and custody to the alternative sector.
In his new appointment, Kalis will develop HSBC’s AFS business in Singapore. He will oversee all aspects of the business in the Singapore office, which will include client services, portfolio valuation, client relationship management, business development and implementation of the business’ global strategy.
Prior to joining HSBC, Kalis was a senior relationship manager at the Citco Group, where he was part of the management team and was credited for his involvement in the set up of a client relationship team across different divisions within the Citco Group. Kalis brings with him over 8 years of experience in the securities services.
