HSBC Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets has appointed Jim Rossman to the position of Head of Equity Capital Markets for the Americas.

Based in New York, he will report to Daniel Palmer, Global Head of Equity Capital Markets and Anthony J. Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. Rossman has joined from Lazard where he was a Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets, New York. He was a Senior Advisor in all sectors for capital markets issues with a particular focus on Life Sciences companies. Prior to joining Lazard in 2003, Rossman was a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers and Head of the Equity Restructuring Group.
