HSBC Bank Australia has named Robert Brown head of custody sales and relationship development for HSBC Securities Services.
Brown comes to HSBC from Alford Brown and Associates, a Sydney based consultancy, where he was director and principal consultant. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Ausmaq, National Australia Bank, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and State Street Australia. Brown succeeds John Butler who has been appointed Head of Sales and Relationship Management, Sub-Custody and Clearing, for HSBC in Singapore.
Robert Brown combines extensive custody and financial services experience with strong relationship management skills and deep local market knowledge, says Andrew Bastow, HSBCs head of Securities Services in Australia.
