HSBC has appointed Jeff Bennett as Head of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Asia-Pacific with immediate effect. In his new role Bennett will report functionally to Kevin Adeson, Global Head of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, and locally to Frank Slevin, Head of Global Banking, Asia-Pacific.
Bennett will lead HSBC’s continuing efforts in Asia to extend and expand its capabilities in event driven investment grade and non-investment grade financings, including corporate acquisition financings and refinancings, recapitalisations, restructurings, financial sponsor led leveraged buy-outs and bridge financing. HSBC has already achieved notable success in this area with financings for PCCW and Tata Hindalco as well as financial sponsors including Bain and Permira.

Bennett joined HSBC in May 2007 as a Managing Director of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance. Prior to HSBC, he was a Managing Director in the Acquisition Finance Group of Morgan Stanley with responsibility for pan-European origination and execution of corporate and private equity event driven financings. He has over 20 years of acquisition financing experience and brings extensive product skills across all varieties of loans and bonds utilized in acquisition financings, recapitalizations, refinancings and debt restructurings.
Bennett has a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College.
