Long-time financial technology executive Howard Edelstein has been appointed CEO of BondDesk Group following the departure of former CEO Kim Bang. BondDesk Group is a fixed-income technology firm.
Edelstein is also an operating partner at Advent International Corporation, which is a major investor in BondDesk. He has served as chairman of BondDesk since 2010.
Previously he was CEO of NYFIX, a provider of electronic trading solutions. Prior to that he was CEO of BT Radianz, the connectivity provider, an executive at investment firm Warburg Pincus and CEO of Thomson ESG and later its joint venture with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), post-trade services firm Omgeo.

BondDesk is in the midst of a realignment of its two key business lines. Craig Pfeiffer, former vice chairman of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, will lead BondDesks wealth management business. Similarly, John Bagley, who previously was in retail bond sales and trading at UBS, was appointed to direct the companys Capital Markets/ATS business.
