Hedge fund flows advanced 2.25% in February, according to the GlobeOp Capital Movement Index. Record-low outflows pushed net flows back in the positive territory after a 0.88% decline in January.

Net flows were positive, against a backdrop of record low outflows, says Hans Hufschmid, CEO of GlobeOp Financial Services.

GlobeOp announced earlier this month that private equity firm TPG had offered to buy the fund administrator for 508 million in cash. But rival administrator SS&C later acknowledged it had been conducting due diligence on GlobeOp as it considers a bid of its own.

GlobeOps Capital Movement Index represents the monthly net of hedge fund subscriptions and redemptions administered by GlobeOp.
