Strategic Compliance Solutions, a regulatory compliance and operations consulting firm for hedge funds headquartered in the US Virgin Islands, has opened an office in Essex, Connecticut.
Kate Dressel, founder and president of SCS, said that the new office will enable the firm to better accommodate the needs of its clients on the mainland United States, especially in the north-eastern states.
SCS was formed in 2003 to address the growing needs of hedge funds, funds-of-funds and futures funds for regulatory compliance and operations assistance. The firm aims to provide efficient, cost-effective and tailor-made services. “Clients of SCS enjoy all the benefits of a high-level compliance officer without the high cost of hiring a full time chief compliance officer,” says the company in a statement.
Dressel says she has more than 10 years of experience in starting and building hedge funds and futures firms, and that her firm specializes in helping hedge funds build, improve and maintain compliance systems, whether they have established compliance regimes or are newly or soon-to-be regulated.
