Hamish Purdey has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of London-based
London-based derivatives application provider, FFastFill plc, has appointed Hamish Purdey as is new chief operating officer, effective immediately,
Purdey will be responsible for all customer-facing activities including global sales and service delivery. He will be based in London and continue to report to Keith Todd, executive chairman and chief executive officer.
Purdey has served as President of FFastFill Inc., the company’s U.S. operation based in Chicago, for the past year.
“I am pleased to have appointed Hamish to this new position. His in-depth knowledge of the industry, technology and FFastFill’s business make him ideal to lead the continued growth in our global customers” Todd said.
Purdey joined FFastFill plc in October 2000, working in a variety of technical, operational management and commercial negotiation roles in the company’s London headquarters. As commercial manager, Purdey was responsible for relationship management, contract negotiations and the company’s bid management process.
Purdey then spent 18 months in a business development role in Asia, exploring opportunities to expand the company’s business in the region, including China, Australia and Singapore. As president of the US operation during the past 12 months, Purdey has successfully introduced third party software services on the company’s managed services platform as well as increasing the customer base in the United States.
Prior to joining FFastFill, Purdey spent a decade in the information technology industry for pharmaceutical, property and transportation companies based in Australia. Born in Australia, he earned bachelor’s degrees in law and in arts and a Master of Laws degree specializing in IT and e-commerce at the University of Melbourne. He has also received a post-graduate certificate in Applied Finance & Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia.
