“With the establishment of GC Securities, and the recent additions of Paul Lumbis, Laurent Dignat, Frederic Morlaye and Jonathan Spry to our European investment banking operations, we have significantly enhanced the range and level of services that Guy Carpenter and its affiliates can provide to clients with investment banking and capital markets needs,” says David Priebe, head of Guy Carpenter’s Global Specialty Operations.
Priebe adds, “Bringing our global investment banking resources together under the GC Securities banner appropriately positions Guy Carpenter’s and its affiliates’ investment banking and capital markets capabilities as a complement to the broad range of integrated financial and reinsurance solutions we can provide as part of our broking services.”
“GC Securities provides us with an outstanding platform for continued growth of our global investment banking and capital markets capabilities,” says McGhee. “With a dedicated team in place, we can continue to provide the insurance market with a range of expertise and independent advice across the investment banking spectrum that is considered second to none.”
“We have more than 15 years of experience in helping clients structure and place risk in the capital markets, and the establishment of GC Securities represents another major step forward, both for our organization and our clients,” adds Hewett. “Insurers are increasingly relying on the capital markets as a means of risk transfer, and we now have an unparalleled team and set of resources in place to help them confidently navigate this new landscape.”
