Nina Hook-Zurlino has joined European investment boutique Griffin Capital Management in the newly created role of Marketing Director. The appointment is the latest in a series of appointments made by Griffin, supporting its drive to re-establish itself as one of the premier provider of investment funds in Emerging European and Western European markets.

Born in Germany, Nina Hook-Zurlino trained as a journalist before moving to the UK in 1995. She started her marketing career at Fidelity Investments and held subsequently senior marketing roles at Global Asset Management, M&G International, Sagitta Asset Management and most recently New Star Asset Management where she was International Marketing Director.
Earlier this year, Christopher Cottrell joined the company as CEO. Prior to that he was CEO of the private wealth manager, Sagitta Asset Management and Group Head of Clients at Global Asset Management. He held senior positions at Fleming including being CEO of Fleming’s European mutual fund business.
Griffin’s investment teams were boosted with the appointment of Thomas Farthofer in October 2007. He joined from Austrian BAWAG P.S.K. Invest as lead manager of the company’s flagship fund, Griffin Eastern European Fund. At BAWAG P.S.K. Invest, Thomas, who has over ten years’ investment experience, was manager of two Eastern European funds and held a role as Chief Investment Officer for equities.
Charles Glasse, Chris Garsten and Nick Stansbury joined Griffin’s Western European investment team in May 2008, having managed 2CG European Capital Growth Fund since 2002 and 2CG European Income Fund since 2005. Charles and Chris have more than 43 years’ investment experience and prior to working at 2CG, they held senior fund management positions at M&G and Credit Suisse respectively.
