Greenwich Associates has released its 2006 Middle-Market Broker Quality Index, in which business insurance customers rated the following firms among the top US brokers in terms of quality:
* Wells Fargo/Acordia Insurance Inc.* BB&T Insurance Services* Wachovia Insurance Services* Lockton Companies Inc.* Hilb Rogal and Hamilton Co.* USI Insurance Services Corp.* Arthur J Gallagher & Co.
The Greenwich Associates Middle-Market Broker Quality Index (BQI) was created to address the need of carriers, insured accounts, and brokers themselves for a comprehensive quality measure of insurance brokers’ service performance.
“We have had the senior financial officers of many companies ask us to tell them more about the brokers they use,” says David Fox, a consultant at Greenwich Associates. “Many of these queries were prompted by persistent top-management concerns over the series of investigations launched against insurance providers over the past two years. As users of insurance services, companies want to be able to demonstrate that they are using the right brokers.”
