With equities and derivatives cash clearing about to be shifted from a commercial bank (Alpha Bank) to the central bank (the Bank of Greece) the Hellenic Banking Association (HBA) has distributed to all its members that have accounts at the CSD a draft version of the contracts between the CSD, the Bank of Greece, the custodian banks and the Athens Derivatives Clearing House. “The transfer could be planned, according to the HBA, within the first two weeks of September,” says a spokesman for Eurobank EFG in Athens.
