Goldman Sachs has recruited Citigroup veteran Kaven Leung as deputy head of Asia private wealth management, The Wealth Bulletin reports.
Leung, who last week quit Citigroup as chief executive of Asia-Pacific wealth management following a 21-year stint, will be based in Hong Kong and oversee Goldman’s wealth management business strategy and clients in Asia, excluding Japan, the internal memo said, as cited in the Reuters report.
He will assume his new role at the end of the summer.
At Citigroup, Leung led about 2,000 private bankers from Australia to Hong Kong, Singapore to India.
