Omgeo, a provider of trade management solutions, made three new appointments to its advisory board, a forum that include’s Omgeo’s clients with hopes of keeping an eye on market issues and help guide its product development.
The three appointments include Paul Vigilante, managing director, Goldman, Sachs and Co.; Sanjay Vatsa, first vice president of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Jeff Potter, vice president of The Northern Trust Company to the governance committee of the company’s Americas Advisory Board.
Each advisory board consists of a balance of large and small investment managers, broker/dealers and custodians who are actively using Omgeo’s solutions, are participants in other industry associations and who are dispersed across their respective regions.
“Omgeo values client input to help us provide the best solutions for the industry’s post-trade processing needs,” said Lee J. Cutrone, managing director of industry relations for Omgeo. “Having Mr. Vigilante, Mr. Vatsa and Mr. Potter active in the direction of our Americas Advisory Board makes certain that we are in tune with client requirements and industry issues.”
Vigilante is a managing director of Goldman Sachs and head of the middle office for the equities and prime brokerage businesses.
Vatsa is a first vice president with Merrill Lynch Investment Management, where he is responsible for global business strategies and solutions around globalizing and enhancing the operating model within the middle- and back-office for asset management.
“I am honored to become a member of the governance committee,” Vatsa said. “Straight-through processing is an issue close to me and I’m looking forward to helping Omgeo’s Advisory Board remain responsive to industry demands and influential to the industry at large.”
Potter serves as the product manager for investment manager services within the worldwide product group at Northern Trust.
