Goldman Sachs has appointed Rob Drake-Brockman as its new co-head for its prime brokerage business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), according to a memo seen by Global Custodian.
He will share the responsibility of leading Goldman’s EMEA prime brokerage unit with Puneet Malhi, who will also see his role expanded to heading the bank’s EMEA futures and clearing business.
“Puneet will continue to focus on investing in our unified client offerings across physical and synthetic prime brokerage,” the memo said.
Drake-Brockman was previously Goldman’s head of European equity capital markets on the public side, having previously worked in equity sales focusing on hedge funds and institutional clients.
