GoldenSource, a provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions, has opened an office in Singapore, its fifth office in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. David Chew has been appointed as sales director and will be responsible for growing the business and developing GoldenSources presence in the region.

Davids 20 years of experience in the IT sector in Asia puts us in a prime position to service clients locally as well as expand our global footprint. Singapore is a particularly important nexus for us due to the growing interest in data management as a strategic enabler and influx of capital being transferred to the region, said Neill Vanlint, managing director of EMEA and APAC at GoldenSource.

Prior to joining GoldenSource, Chew was responsible for development within the APAC region for SmartStream and was also country manager for China. He has also held senior sales positions with global software companies including Siebel and Oracle.

GoldenSource now has five offices in APAC, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Mumbai.

Mike Meriton, president and CEO of GoldenSource, said: We are investing heavily in APAC to satisfy the exponentially increasing demand, and view several recent client wins as a clear sign of deepening maturity in the region. We expect significant growth in additional lines of business to follow in 2012.
