Last week, Avox launched a series of web-based application programming interfaces (APIs) to support faster access to legal entity data, and now GoldenSource has integrated its enterprise data management (EDM) platform with Avox’s new APIs.
Previously, Avox’s data, which includes legal entity identifiers (LEIs), was only available through a web portal or in a flat file for end-of-day delivery, but the new APIs allow clients to access the data on-demand and can incorporate the data directly into in-house applications, as GoldenSource did, or through EDM partners.
“This release is a critical step to help our clients to achieve their aim of much needed STP in the sourcing and ongoing
maintenance of legal entity data,” says Mark Davies, managing director of Avox.
Now, GoldenSource’s integration with the APIs will enable its clients to bring legal entity data into the GoldenSource platform on a real-time basis, which will facilitate client on-boarding and counterparty data management. GoldenSource also says that integrating the data can help firms satisfy regulatory requirements such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
“The service will add value to trading, operations, risk and compliance areas of both buy side and sell side institutions,” says Neill Vanlint, global managing director of GoldenSource.
“Goldensource recognizes the value of real time entity data retrieval and management capability,” adds Avox’s Davies. “The combination of Avox data and GoldenSource technology represents a significant advance in moving entity data management into the heart of firms’ operations.”
