Amid increased demand for data management services in response to accumulating regulatory demands, GoldenSource has selected Eric Bassot as their new senior sales manager for Italy, Spain and the French-speaking markets (France, Belgium and Luxembourg).Bassot, previously a managing director at HB Consulting, has over 15 years’ experience of business development in the financial technology sector. Other notable roles throughout his career have included chief operating officer at ITtrading and managing director at GL Trade.
“While there is a lot of commonality in Europe around the data management challenges, there are important and distinct regional variations,” says Bassot. “What’s needed is an approach that helps firms cut through the complexities of the market, particularly in light of regulations such as FATCA, MiFID II and EMIR. There is clearly high demand for a data management solution that pulls together security, position and counterparty data to provide a complete view. We’re in prime position to help firms achieve this, and therefore increase efficiencies and improve risk management.”
GoldenSource has seen an increase of late for its enterprise data management (EDM) solutions in light of new regulation such as the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II).
