Global Custodian and its partners on the T+1 Industry Issues Forum are pleased to announce that the second webinar in the series, focusing on securities lending, will occur on 18 October at 10:00am ET / 15:00pm BST / 16:00pm CET.

You can register for the webinar by clicking here. If you would like to submit a question or query for the webinar, you can do so by clicking here.

Representatives from Broadridge, Citi, CLS, Equilend and Saphyre will join hosts from Global Custodian and The ValueExchange to dig into the questions we have received in recent months related to securities lending and the transition to T+1 for US equities.

The transcript from the webinar will be written up in Global Custodian’s dedicated T+1 Handbook, with the recording of the discussion also posted on our website.

The first recording, which outlined the objectives of the project and answered some initial questions, can be viewed here.

With preparations under way for settlement compression in US and Canada ahead of the May 2024 deadlines, the scale of the challenge for individual firms is now becoming clear. While much industry comment to date has focused on the “big picture”, many of the issues identified will be experienced differently at firm level.

The T+1 Industry Issues initiative looks to answer specific industry questions through a network of industry experts and settlement specialists.
