Global Custodian is delighted to announce the winners of its annual Leaders in Custody awards, held at The Savoy in London last night.
Standard Chartered and SIX stood out with three accolades apiece on the evening, while State Street, BNP Paribas, JP Morgan, Clearstream, Deutsche Bank, Euroclear, and Mizuho Bank were among the organisations to pick up two awards.
The event celebrated the outstanding securities services providers, including those which have excelled in Global Custodian’s Agent Bank surveys, alongside our Editors’ Choice, Innovation, and Individual honours.
In our Editors’ Choice segment, State Street took home the coveted Global Custodian of the Year award, while JP Morgan scooped up an honour for its flagship data platform Fusion. Citi was handed the Global Securities Services Provider of the year, an award encompassing multiple areas of services including sub-custody, global custody, fund administration and more.
The Deal of the Year accolade went to Northern Trust for its impressive mandate with Nest, while Digital Asset was crowned Fintech of the Year. Chainlink picked up the award for Fintech One to Watch, while the Asset Servicing Project – One to Watch honour was picked up by DTCC for ComposerX.
BNY and BlackRock were handed the award for Asset Servicing Partnership of the Year, while Euroclear was awarded with Digital Asset/DLT Initiative of the Year for the roll out of its Digital Securities Issuance (D-SI) service.
Clearstream’s D7 received Market Infrastructure Project of the Year, while also being recognised for Asset Servicing Outstanding Achievement.
Other winners in the Editors’ Choice segment included Broadridge for innovation across the full asset servicing lifecycle, and S&P Global Market Intelligence for Innovation in Post-Trade Operations Technology.
Komainu picked up the award for Innovation in Digital Asset Custody, Saphyre for Innovation in Artificial Intelligence and ICICI Bank for Innovation in Custody Services.
Standard Chartered was named Agent Bank of the Year for Frontier Markets, Deutsche Bank for Emerging Markets, and Mizuho Bank for Major Markets.
The other winners across our survey awards included SEB, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Eurobank, Piraeus Bank and UBS.
SIX won three awards within Best in Class for its outstanding performance across Account Management, Asset safety and Risk Management, and Data Services, while BNP Paribas was recognised for Service Innovation.
Our individual honours saw Emily Portney receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, while Margaret Harwood-Jones was voted on the night as the Industry Person of the Year.
