Global Custodian reveals winners of Industry Leaders awards 2025 

State Street, BNY, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, RBC, MUFG, Ultimus, Opus Fund Services, and JonesTrading were among the firms recognised across this year’s flagship awards ceremony in New York.

Global Custodian is delighted to announce the winners of its annual Industry Leaders awards, held last night at Chelsea Piers in New York.  

State Street, BNY, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, JP Morgan, and RBC Investor Services were among the largest organisations to secure multiple honours across the programme, while Ultimus Fund Solutions, Opus Fund Services, Trident Trust, Clear Street, and JonesTrading also enjoyed strong showings throughout the evening. 

The awards celebrated the outstanding achievements of securities services providers, including those which excelled in Global Custodian’s Prime Brokerage, Fund Administration, ETF Administration, and Agent Bank surveys, alongside our Editors’ Choice, Innovation, and GC Legend honours.  

In the Editors’ Choice segment, State Street took home Fund Services Deal of the Year for its transaction with Coller Capital, while BNY was recognised for ETF Administration Deal of the Year for its partnership with WisdomTree.  

Apex Group earned Best New Fund Services Project for Apex Digital 3.0, and TMF Group secured Fund Services Merger/Acquisition of the Year for its takeover of EWM Global.  

RBC Investor Services and FundGuard were awarded Fund Services Partnership of the Year, and Fenergo was named Technology Provider of the Year. Juniper Square was highlighted as Fund Services One to Watch. 

In Prime Brokerage, JonesTrading captured the coveted Prime Broker of the Year award, along with the title for Capital Introductions, while Morgan Stanley was named Prime Broker of the Year – Large Clients.  

BNY Pershing received Prime Broker of the Year – Mid-Sized Clients, with Clear Street winning two honours for Prime Brokerage Technology and Prime Brokerage Financing. Marex Prime Services was recognised for Consulting, and CIBC Capital Markets received the award for Client Service. 

Opus Fund Services enjoyed a standout performance in Hedge Fund Administration, taking home Hedge Fund Administrator of the Year, as well as awards for Client Service and Relationship Management and Technology. 

Citco secured the honour for Fund Accounting, Trident Trust for Investor Services, and CSC for Operations. 
In Private Equity Fund Administration, Artex Fund Services was named Private Equity Fund Administrator of the Year, while Trident Trust collected accolades for Client Service and Relationship Management. Ultimus LeverPoint took home Fund Accounting, and SS&C was recognised for Technology. 

Ultimus Fund Solutions led the way in ETF Administration, winning ETF Administrator of the Year along with Technology. JP Morgan was recognised in the Large Clients category, while RBC Investor Services secured victories for Client Service and ETF Basket Services. BNY was awarded for Reporting, and State Street took home the crystal for ETF Servicing Model. 

In the Agent Banks segment, MUFG was named Agent Bank of the Year – North America, while BNP Paribas earned Agent Bank of the Year – Latin America. 

Formidium received the award for Innovation in Fund Administration Technology, UMB Bank for Innovation in Investor and Investment Data, FTI Consulting for Innovation in Real Estate & Private Equity Fund Administration, and S&P Global Market Intelligence for Innovation in Asset Servicing.  

Further honours went to Swift (Innovation in Corporate Actions), Broadridge (Innovation in Global Custody Technology), GK8 by Galaxy (Innovation in Digital Asset Custody), and Multifonds (Innovation in Operational Excellence). 

Global Custodian also celebrated three distinguished individuals as Industry Legends: Jay Martin, Alan Flanagan, and Donna Milrod, each recognised for their remarkable contributions and leadership across the global securities services landscape.
