By Editors

Global Custodian is pleased to announce the shortlists for its annual Leaders in Custody awards being held in London at The Savoy on 30 May 2024, including survey-related honours and Editors’ Choice categories.

The evening will once again recognise the achievements of the global securities services industry, with awards celebrating global custodians, sub-custodians, technology providers and market infrastructure providers across a range of categories.

As always, the celebrations will honour top performers from Global Custodian’s Agent Banks in Major, Emerging and Frontier Markets surveys, along with Editors’ Choice awards recognising areas of innovation and achievements the research does not traditionally cover.

There is also an opportunity to nominate some of the industry’s brightest ideas for our Innovation awards categories, which you can do by clicking here.

Individual awards including our Lifetime Achievement award, GC Legends and Industry Person of the will be announced at a later date.

Leading the way this year with the most nominations is SIX with 11, while JP Morgan and Eurobank are nominated for seven apiece.

BNP Paribas Securities Services and Mizuho are up for five honours, as are Intesa Sanpaolo and State Street. There are also a handful of nominations for Standard Chartered, HSBC, Northern Trust, Deutsche Bank and Broadridge.

It’s a particularly good year for the global custodians in the Editors’ Choice segment with the biggest names leading the shortlists in innovation, projects and partnerships.

New awards this year include Data Project/Initiative of the Year, Securities Finance/Collateral Initiative of the Year and the Digital Asset/DLT initiative award.

The Fintech One to Watch also makes its way to London featuring a quarter of innovative players which have caught the judges’ eyes over the past 12 months.
