The results of the inaugural Global Custodian magazine survey of third party private equity administration services are published today.

The survey aims to measure perceptions by private equity firms of the quality of the services provided to them by third party administrators.

Five providers took part in the 2007 survey, which attracted a total of 56 responses. The survey invited respondents to measure the quality of services provided by their third party administrators in 65 questions divided between 12 separate service areas.

The scores are weighted, averaged and compared to decide which agent banks are superior to a global benchmark. The best enjoy “top-rated” status, while those achieving a high standard receive “commended” status.

Overall Top Rated awards were secured by JPMorgan Private Equity Fund Services and CACEIS. Overall Commended ratings were won by Augentius Fund Administration, Citi and HSBC Alternative Fund Services.

JPMorgan also secured Top Ratings in three out of four client size categories ($100million-$1 billion, $1-5 billion, and more than $5 billion) and in North America. CACEIS was also Top Rated in Europe. Augentius was Commended in London, and Citi in North America.
