Technology consultancy GFT has appointed Andrew Rossiter as head of technology services across the Atlantic region, in its second senior hire this month.

Rossiter joins GFT from his previous role as chief technology officer at Abu Dhabi-based ADS Securities.

Prior to this he spent eight years with Barclays Capital in the equities IT division.

“Having recently led a project to change and develop the technology platform for a leading financial services player, I am eager to bring the skills that I have gained, and the experiences that I encountered in this process, to continue GFT’s progression as the largest scale consultancy focused on financial services,” said Rossiter.

Rossiter’s appointment is the second in quick succession for GFT following its promotion of Marika Lulay to CEO at the beginning of this month.

As part of Lulay’s appointment, GFT also revealed new focus points in a bid to encourage increased efficiency and growth including cloud migration, artificial intelligence and distributed ledger adoption.

In Rossiter’s new role he will be responsible for engaging with new customers and enhancing relationships with existing partners.

“Having played a key role in a number of leading financial services firms, it is clear that Andrew’s drive will perfectly complement our Atlantic management team, and I am sure he will be a great asset to GFT,” said Gareth Richardson, managing director at GFT.
