Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has appointed Gerrit Van Gorp to the newly created role of Head of Fixed Income Business Development within its European Individual Investor Business (EIIB) group. Van Gorp will report to John Demaine, Head of EIIB. He will have responsibility for the development and distribution of fixed income products in the United Kingdom and continental Europe with particular emphasis on the recently launched iBoxx – Liquid Corporates Exchange Traded Fund, Europe’s first ever corporate bond ETF.
