ASPOne, the German financial insolvency consulting firm, has bought Quantrix’s Modeler as its new primary financial reporting tool. The new application consolidates multiple spreadsheets into one comprehensive tool using quantitative modeling software.

“Holzmann’s model, developed using traditional spreadsheet software, ran out of capacity — there simply weren’t enough cells available to manage all of the data,” says Managing Director of ASPOne Odissefs Pantazis-von zur Gathen. “Quantrix was not just easier to use — it made the project feasible. We are now able to track thousands of items over the course of ten years by month in one model and with greater accuracy and total transparency.”

“This is a high-risk job, and we needed to have a very transparent model,” adds von zur Gathen. “We knew that transferring data from multiple spreadsheets would leave us vulnerable to error. Now all of the data are in one model, and the formulas are outside the cell so we can track it.” The Quantrix Modeler lets users create and use formulas outside of the cell and in words rather than cell coordinates. The user can also add new dimensions and view multiple scenarios without redesigning the model.
