Private equity fund administrator Gen II Fund Services has joined the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) alternative investment product (AIP) services.

The AIP platform aims to link brokers, dealers, fund administrators and managers as well as custodians in order to create a standardised process for alternative investments including private equity and hedge funds.

Using this platform will allow Gen II, who covers over $120 billion of private capital, to service its private fund sponsor clients while maintaining investor relationships with registered investment advisors.

“Joining the DTCC services is an important step for our clients and their investors,” said Steven Alecia, Gen II’s chief client officer.

“For those sponsors that work closely with the registered investment advisor community, they can take comfort in our ability to expertly support their relationships with registered investment advisors and provide consistent detailed reporting to the end investor.“
