ICAP has reported that average daily electronic broking volumes in spot foreign exchange reached an all time high of $244.6 billion in November 2007.

This represents an increase of 61% on November 2006 and compares to the previous record of $241.5 billion per day achieved in August 2007.In November, total average daily electronic broking volumes on ICAPs platforms EBS and BrokerTec of $896.1 billion was the second highest figure ever and represented an increase of 42% on the previous year.

Average daily trading in US Treasury products reached $175.3 billion in November 2007, up 50% on November 2006. Average daily volumes in US and EU Repo reached a total of $ 459.2 billion.

Electronic broking volumes continue to increase as market volatility persists, driven by credit issues and their impact on the global economy.
