Fund services round-up: Apex, Gen II, HIGHVERN and more…

A new weekly round-up of fund administration and prime brokerage news from Global Custodian this week features Apex, Gen II, HIGHVERN, Formidium and Allvue Systems.

Apex Group has completed its acquisition Maitland International Holdings, the service provider which offers fund administration, transfer agency and management company services for 120 direct investment managers and 25 fund sponsors, totalling over $200 billion in assets under administration. 

Gen II Fund Services has announced the promotion of eight client service professionals to principal. Those promoted were Julian Blumberg, Taylor Graham, Joel Hiatt, Doug Horton, Radi Ilamov, Julie Ren, Bo Yang and Corey Zahner. Additionally, in Gen II’s Luxembourg office, Christophe Ponticello has been promoted to country head, and Duncan Christie has been promoted to chief operating officer.    

HIGHVERN has received authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland to provide fund administration services to alternative funds. HIGHVERN launched its Irish business, with offices in Dublin, in January 2022. The group also has a presence in the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, the UK and Switzerland. 

Formidium has launched a full suite of tax services, including tax allocations, reporting, and filings for funds invested in digital assets. Named Crypto Fund Tax, the service provides comprehensive tax services across the entity’s entire lifecycle for US funds/entities and non-US funds/entities filing US returns. 

Allvue Systems has named Marc Scheipe as chief executive officer. Allvue said Scheipe will work alongside the executive leadership team to oversee Allvue’s strategic initiatives and guide the firm as it enters its next phase of growth.
