Fund administrator Vistra has opened a new office in Mauritius to target opportunities in the African and Indian markets.

The office was opened today following the granting of a license to operate as a Mauritius management company by the local regulatory authority.

Vistra says demand for corporate structuring solutions is expected to come from a range of countries due to global interest in the African and Indian markets.

This latest addition to the Vistra network of worldwide offices will give us an important base from which we will be able to serve the needs of clients looking for corporate structuring solutions in two of the world’s most dynamic economic regions, says Bart Deconinck, executive chairman of Vistra.

Oliver Hoyng, director of Vistra, adds: “Within the Vistra group, our own research has told us that there will be significant interest in our new Mauritius office from existing as well as new clients. We will tap into and meet this demand, as we can now significantly broaden the range and scope of services we are able to offer clients. As well as providing corporate services solutions, we are looking forward to exploiting the rapidly growing local market for international wealth planning opportunities in the region too.”
