One of the best-known figures in Yen custody, Nagatoshi Shimamura, generalmanager, marketing, within the settlement and clearing services division atFuji Bank in Tokyo, is moving out of the custody business. Following themerger of Fuji Bank into the Mizuho Group, Shimamura-san is taking up a newposition as general manager, Securitization Operation Department at theMizuho Trust and Banking Company, Ltd. He took up his new post on December6. His previous position is taken by Taku Kawamoto, also general manager,marketing, who worked with Shimamura-san for many years.
